The Queensland Geothermal Energy Centre of Excellence (QGECE) is a ground-breaking initiative made possible through a $15m grant to the University of Queensland by the Queensland Government.
The Queensland Geothermal Energy Centre of Excellence has built and tested a one of a kind research facility for improving cooling tower technology suitable for geothermal, solar thermal and biomass power plants.
The IAHR International Conference on Cooling Tower and Heat Exchanger brings together academics, researchers, cooling tower designers, manufacturers, industrial experts, suppliers and power plant staff from all over the world. The conference, hosted by QGECE, took place on the Gold Coast, QLD, Australia from 7 - 11 September, 2015. Conference Webpage
